Mr. P.D. Singh, the founder of Tagore Hospital and Research Institute is a talented visionary, committed to bring out the best through innovation with hope, faith, confidence and will power. He is a crusader in the field of education, a great philanthropist, whose mission is to arise, awake and achieve and to proceed on because he feels he has Promises to keep and miles to go. He is the dynamic force dedicated to the expansion of quality education, character formation and having faith in Indian culture.
He very strongly believes that Education & Health are the strong pillars of any society. While fulfilling the contribution of several educational institutions he has nurtured this hospital to be one of the best on National & International healthcare scene.

In his quest to continually bring about improvement in quality of Education and Health Care he has widely traveled, to pick up newer ideas and share his view points.
* He has participated in VIIth World Conference on International Community Education in Thailand in August 1995 and read the paper, “Community Education for a Better World”
* VIII World Conference in August 1999 at Oxford, England and read the paper “Prospects and
perspectives of Early, Child Education”
* Participated in World Conference organized by UNO at Stambol in June 1996
* UNO World Conference of NGO’s/DPI in September 1995 in New York
* Participated in World Conference on “Education India The Next Millennium” in November 1997, Delhi
* IX World Conference on Community education at Langara College Vancouver B.C.Canada in May 2001. * He has visited France, Germany Singapore, Holland, Spain & U.K. to study Schools Education Systems.
A book “Kirti Purush” highlighting Mr Singh’s work, life and achievements was released by the President of India, Hon’ble Shri Shankar Dayal Sharma in 1994.
Mr. Singh’s contribution to the society has been recognized by various forums and he has received number of awards. He was awarded “Rajasthan Gaurav Sanskriti Award” in 1995, honoured by “Bhartiya Bal Shiksha Parishad, Delhi”, by different branches of Lions and Rotary Clubs for his contribution to Quality Education and Social Services, Vikas Rama Award-2000 by International Integration & Growth Society, Delhi- Feb. 2000, “Bharat Nirman Excellence award” by Front for National Progress” March 2000, Asthma Care Award by Indian Asthma Care Society, Jaipur, May 2000, Outstanding Achievement Award by Management Studies promotion Institute, New Delhi, 28th June, 2000 Honoured by All India Parent Teacher Association Award in 1999, Mother Teresa Memorial Award 2001 for excellence in Leprosy Eradication Work and Resource Generation-ILEF Mumbai. Certificate of Appreciation for the invaluable contribution in the 45th Asia Pacific Region Basic Management Course for Professional Scout Executives by the World Organisation of the Scout Movement on 15th Nov. 2003.
He is life member and active worker of many social organizations such as Bharat Vikas Parishad, Divine Life Society, ICEA, National Geographic Society, IAVE and others. He is also dedicated to Environmental Awareness Programmes, literacy and women empowerment activities, devoted to mobilizing funds for eradication of Leprosy & Tuberculosis through his association with Indian Development Foundation-Mumbai.
